Rabbi Dovie Shapiro

Rabbi Dovie Shapiro was born and raised in Miami Beach, Florida. He left home to spend his high school years in a Yeshivah in Brunoy, France. After studying in New York for another two years, he spent a year of internship in outreach work in Budapest, Hungary. 

At the age of 22, Rabbi Shapiro graduated with honors and received his Rabbinical ordination from the Rabbinical College of America. He has also spent summers and holidays serving a number of Jewish communities around the world and across the United States. Rabbi Dovie is known for his warmth, wit and sincere and pleasant demeanor.

Rabbi Dovie Shapiro met his wife, Chaya in New York and they got married in March 2004. They are the proud parents of 8 children: Mendel, Avremy, Gabi, Batya, Zalman, Daniel, Chana Sarah, and Shmuly.

Chaya Shapiro

Chaya was raised in Chicago, IL. After graduating with distinctions from Lubavitch Girls High School, she received a Teacher’s Diploma in Education from the Beth Chana Seminary in Safed, Israel. She then went on to receive her Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts from Thomas Edison State College.

Chaya spent a year of internship in outreach work in Overland Park, KS where she taught in the Chabad preschool and directed many of the Chabad activities. She then went on to work for the Chabad Friendship Circle (a program for special needs children) in Livingston, NJ. Chaya’s creative abilities and leadership skills attracted invitations for outreach work in summer camps around the world, including Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, Vancouver, Canada and throughout the United States.

With their warm smiles and friendly approach, Rabbi Dovie & Chaya Shapiro moved to Flagstaff in March 2006 to permanently establish the Chabad Jewish Community Center which provides social and religious programming for the Jewish community of Flagstaff and NAU.

Rabbi Shmulik Moscowitz

Rabbi Shmulik Moscowitz was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He spent his high school years in Chicago after which he went to study in Yeshivos in Manchester, England, and Morristown, New Jersey. He spent a year of internship in outreach in Los Angeles and at age 22 received his Rabbinical ordination at the Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, Israel.

Rabbi Shmulik has spent many summers running Jewish camps all around the US and Israel. He is also a talented cantor and has assisted many Jewish communities all around the world. Rabbi Shmulik enjoys singing and playing sports and he is known for his kindness and love towards others.

Rabbi Shmulik Moscowitz met his wife Yael in New York and they got married in May 2013. They are the proud parents of 3 children: Mendel, Shlomo, and Ruthie.

Yael Moscowitz

Yael was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. After graduating Gani Talmud Torah High School in Sao Paulo, she went to study at Beth Chana Seminary in Tzfat, Israel where she received a teacher's diploma in Education.

Yael spent a year of internship in outreach in the Jewish community in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine where she taught in the Jewish elementary school and was the director of Jewish children's programs.

Yael spent many winters and summers running the Gan Israel Camp in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Yael is known for her warm and friendly personality and for her amazing talents with children.
