Jewish life is enriched by rituals marking significant milestones such as birth, bar/bat mitzvah, wedding, anniversary, and end-of-life. These rituals bind us to past generations and foster community connections as we share these moments with loved ones. At Chabad of Flagstaff, we are here to support you in both joyous and challenging times, offering our facility for life cycle events.
Curious about Jewish Life Cycles?
BRIT MILAH & BABY NAMING
Celebrate the arrival of a newborn with a ceremony welcoming them into the covenant and bestowing a Hebrew name. A Brit Milah, or bris, is the circumcision ceremony for baby boys held on their eighth day. We can connect you with a Mohel, explain the ceremony, and co-officiate, whether at home or synagogue.
BAR/BAT MITZVAH
Our young teens prepare for this milestone through religious and Hebrew studies, with personalized ceremonies held at Chabad or a venue of your choice. To schedule Bar/Bat Mitzvah training, contact Rabbi Dovie Shapiro at: 928-255-5756.
MARRIAGE
Prepare for your wedding with guidance from our rabbi on Jewish wedding traditions, from Ketubah to breaking the glass, with ceremony officiation available.
END-OF-LIFE
Explore meaningful Jewish mourning practices and rituals, with Rabbi Mendy available for funeral ceremonies, unveilings, and support during mourning periods.
YARTZEIT & KADDISH
Honor departed loved ones with the recitation of Kaddish and Yizkor Memorial prayers, with arrangements available for minyan services.
